VanEss Expressions is a very small Minnesota business. Everything we sell is 100% handmade, by us, in our Minneapolis Minnesota workshop. From the purchase of the material to the handcrafting of each piece to shipping out to the customer - we do it all. We feel this gives us the best control of not only the quality of the item; but also that our customers receive the item they expect, and in the same condition as when we took it off the shelf.
SHIPPING & HANDLING
The S&H charge covers the actual shipping costs plus $1.00 - $3.00 for packaging. Our shipper of choice is the US Post Office, where we have had excellent, reliable service. Postage is determined by the size, weight and destination of the package; plus a Delivery Confirmation so that we can track the package. Orders placed thru the website are charged a flat-rate Shipping & Handling fee, which is based on a typical package.
We will ship 'Priority' whenever the flat fee charged allows. If our actual Shipping & Handling costs are less than the amount charged, we will include a refund check for the difference (see payment options below). On occasion, if we receive a single order for multiple items where the shipping would be considerably more than our flat rate, we may require an additional charge.
Items are shipped out the next business day following receipt of payment (see payment options below). Items shipped Priority are typically received in 2-3 days, Parcel Post within a week. Please Note - during the Christmas holiday season (or the occasional Art Show we attend) we will post applicable shipping/delivery exceptions.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
PayPal Orders
PayPal is a very safe & popular way to pay for on-line merchandise. They can process Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. They can also transfer funds from one PayPal account to another . . . though you do not have to have a PayPal account to pay thru PayPal (just follow their instructions). *Please make sure to return to VanEss Expressions (after you have completed your payment information) to complete the order process. As stated above, the website automatically includes a flat-rate S&H charge, and orders paid thru PayPal will include this charge. Any excess will be returned in the form of a refund check included in the box with the item. Items will be shipped out within one business day of payment being received in our account. Note - direct transferes (from your PP acount to ours) have a delay of 2-5 days (which we do not understand). .
Telephone Credit/Debit Card Payments
VanEss Expressions does not collect or store any financial information thru our website or on our computer. But, to accommodate customers who would rather not use PayPal, we have the ability to take MasterCard & Visa credit & debit card payments over the telephone. In order to use this mode of payment you will need to choose the 'Check or Money' option at checkout. Then just give us a call at 800-616-4237 to provide your payment information. We can then calculate the exact S&H charges, and will charge your credit card for the correct amount. This eliminates the possible over-charging and refund check noted above. Credit cards are processed immediately and items shipped within 1 business day. Again, for your security, we do not accept credit card information thru the website.
Check/Money Order Payments
If you prefer not to use a credit card to pay for your purchase, we can accept personal checks and money orders - mailed to VanEss Expressions, PO Box 23386, Richfield MN 55423. Purchases paid by Money Orders (bank, credit union, post office, etc) will be shipped out within 1 business day of receipt of the money order. Orders paid by personal check will be held until the check clears the bank (typically 10 days).
PLEASE NOTE - the above is applicable to orders shipped within the United States. If your item is to be shipped outside the United States, or if you prefer a different carrier, please CONTACT US prior to going thru the checkout process.
